Awesome Australia

Hi welcome back to my blog.
Today I'm sharing with you about my holiday. So on the 11th of August 2018, I hopped on the plane and I was away. After 3 long hours we landed in the sunny land of Australia. We were in the Gold coast for four days. When we got there it was 7:00 on a Saturday night. We went for a swim and we had pizza for tea. The next day was Sunday and we went to Carrara markets and harbour town shopping centre. I blew my budget. The next day we went to Dream world and it was so fun my favourite ride was the Hot wheels sidewinder. It went so fast and there were 2 loop de loops and one big drop! Then on Tuesday we went to White Water World. White Water World was so fun. My favourite water slide was called the RIP. You get into a big tube then it goes dark and you do a vertical drop it was so fun! The scariest water slide called the Wedgie. For the wedgie you stand in a little room with your hands behind your head and your legs crossed.  Then the man drops the floor out from underneath you and you go flying down. The Lifeguard at the bottom said that it was less than 10 seconds from the top to the bottom. When we woke up on the fourth day it was our last day in the Gold Coast. We went shopping again and went back to Dreamworld for a couple of hours then we headed of to Brisbane. When we arrived at Brisbane it was Wednesday night. The next day we took our friend's dog Paris to the beauty parlour while my mum,dad and Davis went shopping. The next day was my birthday. I got so many cool presents. Then we travelled to the Sunshine Coast. My favourite part of the Sunshine Coast was the Australia zoo. I loved having my birthday on holiday. This was a good holiday and I want to go back as soon as I can.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Have you ever been overseas?

Punctuation!

Perfect Punctuation
In class this term we have been learning to add lots of punctuation to our writing. We wrote a story abut meerkats, and we tried to use as much punctuation as  we could.

One summer's morning when I woke with a start I popped my head out of my dusty burrow. In the clear
distance hanging on a tall, healthy tree hung a bright, pink and yellow mango. I jumped with excitement as I
woke the other meerkats up.“Simon” I yelled.
“Yes boss right to it” said Simon with a lazy moan in his voice.
As Simon popped out of the burrow his long fingernails dug into the soft, golden sand. His eyes went bright
as he fell to the ground with amazement. I lifted his very heavy floppy body as all the other meerkats rushed
towards me. We walked slowly towards the tree as the ferocious volter flew down and landed on the barky,
brown tree. The queen of meerkats jumped out from behind the tree, she jumped for the fruit as her paw
clutched onto the fruit, the fruit fell to the ground. On its way down to the ground the big black voltur
swooped past and picked it up. The queen meerkat went flying through the sky, and that was the last that
they saw of her.

Hi welcome back to my blog. Our learning focus for Project Based Learning this term is culture. We have done some research and asked our parents lots of questions to find out which country we are from, or have relatives from. My parents have told me that I have some Scottish and some English. Next we researched the sports, food, clothing and lots of other stuff of our culture.

Winter sport.

Hello,
Yesterday we had winter sport at, Hagley Park. We haven't been there for the last four weeks !! The  rain has been so heavy and because there was a lot of rain and not much sun, the winter weather  is wrecking the fields and because all of the sports except for netball is on grass we can't go. So yesterday it was a nice winter's day and we finally got to go. I'm in the tarantulas netball team. For the whole season, we have been unbeatable. Yesterday we played the OLA (Our Lady of Assumption) Leprechauns. Another great win for us, and for me player of the day .The score was 20-4. We play four ten minute half's. Our team has Caitlin, Felicity, Lucas, Maia, Me, Grace A, Mereana, Sienna and Emily C. We qualified for the north zone competition, next week on Tuesday the 31st of June. We compete against four other teams hoping for victory. We are mostly a good team, and our love for the game makes us even better.
See you next time. Bye!!

What sports do you play? Are you going to the competition on Tuesday?

Blog Profile Public vs Private

We are learning what to include in a public profile that will go on our blog.

Reflective Question- How would you decide if something should be kept private?

I would make sure to check with my parents or teachers if I wasn't sure about it. I wouldn't give any phone numbers or addresses away if I was about to put a picture of someone on I would ask for permission before posting about them or posting a photo of them.
