Measurement and perimeter!🏁😃

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog,
This week my goal for maths is: Use side or edge lengths to find the perimeters of rectangles, parallelograms, and triangles. We measured the court and had to make a D.L.O (Digital Learning object) about our understanding of perimeter. Here is my D.L.O

What is your favourite thing to do in Maths?

Give your hands a clean clean clean!😃

Hello, welcome back to my blog.
This week for writing my goal was: Understand the purpose for writing, and how to achieve those purposes. We wrote a procedure on how to wash your hands properly as there are lots of bugs travelling round at the moment. Here is my procedure.

How will you wash you hands differently after looking at this blog post?

Waitangi Day 😃🏁

Kia Ora welcome back,

This week our main focus has Waitangi and learning more about the culture of New Zealand and the Maori. We had to make a digital learning object about the treaty of Waitangi. Mine is the treaty sitting on the table before everyone signed it then I drew a magnifying glass and it showed the treaty. Here is my drawing.

How much do you know about the treaty and New Zealand culture? You could tell me an interesting fact that I may not know about it?

Hope you enjoyed
See you next time
Bye :)

2020 😋😃

Kia Ora, welcome back. I Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and happy new year.

To kick of this year I would like to share with you my hopes for 2020.

  1. In 2020 I would like to spend more time with my friends and grow a stronger relationship with them. This means we work well together. My main aim around education this year is to become better at maths. My last hope is to do with sport. I'm not the best at cross country or athletics but my only aim is to be proud with my result and be happy for those who win.
The second thing I would like to talk about is what i'm looking forward to in 2020. This year I'm looking forward to being in a leadership group. Another thing I'm excited for is the fair. The fair is on Sunday the 8th of march. I'm sure you will hear much more about it in blogs to come.

The last thing I would like to talk about today is some of the stuff I did in the holidays. My favourite day of the holidays was when I went to hanmer. On a Thursday i went to hanmer the day and spent the hole day swimming and waiting in line for the hydroslides. The we had some pizza for dinner. We went at about 7:00am and got home around 10:00pm.

What are your hopes in around school for this year? What did you do in the holidays?

Hope you guys enjoyed
See you next time
Bye :)

Poem! 😎

Aloha, welcome back to my blog!

Today I will be showing you the poem I wrote about myself for writing in week 7. This poem is called a Haiku. It had 5 syllables the 7 syllables the 5 syllables and I had to write 3 verses. Afterwards I had to make it look fancier by adding colour. Here it is I hope you enjoy it.

What your favourite type of poem to write?
See you next time Bye :)

Pool Day 2019

Hello, welcome back to blog, today I will be talking about the Pool Day.

On Friday a couple a weeks ago we went with the yr 5&6 hub to Waltham pool. Friday wasn't the warmest day but we still spent probably around 2 hours in the pool. We had fun spending time with our friends and splashing around in the pools. We left school at about 10:45 and got to the pool just as it opened at around 11:00am. We left to go back to school at about 2:25-2:30. If you didn't have all your work done then  you had to spend time time out of the pool. Each task was 5 minutes. I had all my wok done so could spend the majority of time in the pool except it was a little cold. We also got to go down the hydro slide. My teacher even went down the hydro slide in her clothes!😂

Do you like swimming?
See you next time Bye :)
