World Hunger
The world produces enough food for everyone, yet more than 3 million children die of hunger every year. WHY? 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone. Poor nutrition causes nearly half of deaths in children under five years old. Climate change continues to put pressure on our food industries every year and doesn't help to fuel the children who are starving and cant do anything about it.
Hard hitting statistics:
795 million hungry and the additional 2 billion people expected by 2050.
Globally, one in nine people in the world today are undernourished
12.9 per cent of the population is undernourished.
Poor nutrition causes nearly half of deaths in children under five
3.1 million children each year.
