Saturday Netball😃⚽

Aloha welcome back to my blog, hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Yesterday in netball I went down to the courts at around 9:40am my game was at 10:30,on court 21. We warmed up and then it was time. For the first quarter I was off and the other three quaters I played in WD (Wing Defence). It was a good game and at the end we were happy with our result. We won 29-8. This week I will only blog about netball on Thursday as we don't have netball on Saturday because of queens birthday.

Welcome back to my blog. This season I will be blogging on Saturdays and Thursdays about netball. Yesterday I had a bye for Thursday sports but, tomorrow I will be playing Cashmere down at the courts. I hope that I can play well and have good sportsmanship either way it goes.

Cool Clubs 👌😎

Haere Mai, Tena koutou, I hope everyone had a good start to the week.
Today i'm going to be talking about the clubs at my school and the ones that I'm in. Lets start with Monday.
On Monday:
after school I do code club. Code club includes using my skills to create games. When I first joined code club I started with scratch. We use modules that have instructions to help us make everything. After I finished the 38 projects on scratch I moved on to to html and continued with that here is my favourite project from html. And after I finished those 12 projects I have now moved on to python.🐍


On Tuesday: Before school every second week I have road patrol, which is were I go out to the pedestrian/zebra crossing with someone and we do the sign in sign out.
I got this image from Bucklands Beach Primary school. At lunch on a Tuesday I go to lit club. Lit club is all about learning about books and authors. There are things you can do to earn badges I have my bronze and silver badges and I hope that this year I can earn my gold badge.
On Wednesday: Before school I do tutoring so that means that I help a younger student with somethings to do with education. At morning tea on a Wednesday we sometimes have jump jam and that is also a club I am in.
On Thursday: Before school I have Kapahaka and we are practising for the cultural festival in August.
On Friday:I have knitting club.
That's all the clubs I'm in and I have a lot of fun through out the week at these clubs.

Technology this Term.📘🏆

This term for technology I'm in plastics. So far I have made a dice. How did I make the dice:
1.First the teacher gave us a square piece of Acrylic plastic, and we had to do all the measurements and put all the dots in the right places. Did you know that if you add each side of the dice together it will equal 7.
2. Now we had to drill the holes and sand the edges so that we could actually role the dice as before the edges were sharp.
3.Then we use another sander to sand of the pencil lines and marks then we sand it with the yellow sander.
4. After that we use the black sander which helps to make it a bit more see through. Next we put some polish putty stuff onto the dice and got a cloth to polish it.
5. Then we used the buffer machine to make the dice see through. Then we drilled the holes again to get all the extra putty out.
6. The final step was to paint into the hole, I chose to paint mine purple.
Now I am making a name tag/key chain, for my dad for his birthday on the 19th of June. So far this year I have really enjoyed going to tech and I can't wait for sewing next term!

Super Speeches📜

Welcome back to my blog I hope everyone had a good weekend. Today I'm going to be talking about my speech for this term. This term my Speech is about Ableism. Here is my introduction for my speech.

Stephen Hawking once said The only downside to being a celebrity is that I can’t go anywhere without being noticed even with a pair of dark sunglasses or a wig on, the wheelchair gives me away. Today i’m going to be talking about Ableism and why I think it shouldn’t matter about the difference of people with or without a disability . My definition of Ableism is treating disabled people  differently to how we treat our own friends or others around us because they have some kind of physical or mental disability ….often we may pity someone with a difference, when in fact that's the last thing they want from us. From what I see all they want is to fit in and to be happy, as they know no different it is how they were brought up.

Great Goals🎓📜

Hi welcome to my blog, I hope you are having a good week. This term I have set 3 goals for myself, and I really hope that by the end of the term I have achieved them, so that next term I can set new goals for myself! 

My first goal is to keep up with all the work I need to do, and have all my work completed to a high standard.

My second goal is to be a good sport on the netball court all season, I really enjoy playing netball and I want to be able to have a positive attitude in whatever position I get played in.

My third and final goal is to try my best to listen to the teachers, and make good decisions of who I sit with.

Cross country🌄🏃

Today I will be talking about the one and only 2019 crosssss country! This year cross country was held at Walter Park. The dew sat on the fresh green grass as St Francis of Assisi school turned up at the cross country. Bang! Went the year 8 boys. The butterfly's were fluttering in my tummy. Bang! Went the year 8 girls. Bang! went the year 7 boys. This year the cross country was on a Thursday. On the Tuesday of that week I jammed my toe in a door and had a big swollen and bruised mark on my foot ouchhhh. I was determined that this year I would run the cross country as last year i couldn't because I had a big burn on my foot. Bang! Of the year 7 girls went and that meant me. I ran as hard as I could for the first 2 laps but after that I had to stop my foot hurt really bad and I couldn't run anymore. I cheered on my friends as they finished the race. Next I hope that I won't be injured so that I can actually take part in the hole thing.

Amazing Art

Konnichiwa, welcome back to my blog. For part of week 1 and 2 we are doing some art.    This is my art. Our art had to include a picture of us, a quote, story, song lyrics or a poem, and a slogan or an image. The first step of my art work was to take a photo of myself. Then I found a quote and an image I liked. Then I cropped out the background of my image and imported it into google drawing. From there I added a background and my quote and Image. Here is my finished art piece. I hope you like it!

Term 2 PBL!

Welcome back to my blog. Hope everyone had a good holiday! This term for our PBL we will be carrying on with last terms driving question, What is Greatness by focusing on what we can do to help stop discrimination. So far we have learnt about Sexism, and today we learnt about people making fun of others Religion/beliefs. This morning we did a quiz on some questions about holy week. When we came to sit down on the mat the teachers let all the boys sit on chairs, and all the girls had to sit on the floor. After that the teachers said that the girls could have 5 extra minutes play, I think that the teachers did this to explain what sexism is. When the girls where sitting on the ground one of the boys explained that he didn't think that it was fair for the girls to be sitting on the ground, and that if he was a girl he would feel annoyed, so he joined the girls sitting on the floor. After that the boys didn't get as much play as the girls and I think they felt very frustrated about that cause I'm sure I would've. After morning tea the teacher made all the people with blue eyes stand at the back with their hands on their hips. From this we learnt that people get made fun of for things they can't change things like their eye colour, skin colour or even their hair colour. After that we learnt about the people against other peoples beliefs/religions. This term I haven't chosen what I want to do for my project, or how I'm going to present it. After we learn about other things I can then choose what I want to found out more about.
