Instructions☝😎

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog.

Today I will be talking about my instructions. As you should know I picked Australia out of the hat so I had to write some instructions on how to make something original or a skill from Australia.  I chose to write instructions on how to draw the Australian flag. Here are my instructions.

How to draw the Australian flag

Equipment you will need: Piece of A4 paper, Blue pen/pencil, red pencil, ruler.

  1. First go to the top left corner, get your ruler and mark a little line 10cm down the edge.
  2.  Draw a line from the edge of the paper across 15cm.

  1. Then connect the line to the top of the page, now you should have a box in the top left corner.
  2. Directly below the box draw a big star and draw 4 smaller stars next to the box.
  3. Image result for australia flag without color Now draw a cross in the box, connecting a line coming from each side of the cross.
  • Here's what your drawing should be looking like now. -)
  1. Finally colour in the major part of the flag blue leaving the stars white.
  2. Colour in the cross and and the small part of the lines coming out the cross red.
  3. Have fun!!
  • This is what your finished product
should look like.

Recipe

Aloha, welcome back to my blog,

Today I will be talking about the recipe I wrote. As you should know I picked Australia out of the hat so I have to bake something traditional to Australia. I'm making Anzac biscuits because they are traditional not only to New Zealand but also to Australia as we both celebrate Anzac day I thought this would be highly appropriate, to celebrate not only my home country New Zealand but also Australia's traditions. at the same time. We had to write a precise set of instructions on how to make that food and we have to make it for a shared lunch on Friday. All the different countries will have a couple different foods to share and we can try new cultures and traditions.

Heres my recipe on how to make Anzac biscuits.1 cup of flour
1 cup of rolled oats
1 cup of sliced oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup caster sugar
125g butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
2 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  1. Turn you oven to 160 C and line two baking trays with non stick baking paper.
  2. Add the oats, both sugars, coconut and flour into a bowl and mix.
  3. Now Pour the butter, golden syrup and water into a small pan and mix until smooth, after it is smooth add the baking soda.
  4. Next add the wet mix into the bowl containing the dry oat mix.
  5. Take the mix and roll it into small balls and place on the tray.
  6. Put the tray into the oven and cook for 15 mins or until golden brown.

Do you like to bake?
Whats your favourite thing to bake?

Create Task!😎

Hello and Welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing my Create task for week 1.
This week for Reading I read a story called New New Zealanders, it was about a family who lived in an unsafe country and had to move to New Zealand. For our create task we got to pick any back ground we wanted then put 4 buttons on it which are

  1. Similarities between you and the character
  2. Differences between you and the character
  3. Main Idea/Ideas in the text.
  4. An information report about the country you chose.
I picked Australia out so decided to do some of their native animals. You can click on the animals to take you to the links. The Koala is linked to Similarities and Differences, the Wombat is linked to the book, the Koala is linked to the main Ideas, the Crocodile is linked to the Australia information report, the Platypus is linked to this blog post and the Porcupine is an optional 1 linked to a doc about what I have learnt from the story. Here is mine I hope you like it.

What is your favourite animal native to Australia?
See you next time Bye:)

P.B.L T4 2019👓

Kia Ora, welcome back. I hope every had a great holiday.

This Terms P.B.L driving question issss, How do I celebrate who I am. We have looked at things like..

  1. What makes us who we are
  2. What is culture and how do we celebrate different cultures.
One of our first tasks was to pull a country out of a hat and write a set of instructions for a skill, game or something from that country. I picked Australia out of the hat and I'm currently writing a set of instructions to make a paper boomerang. Next week we have to make a traditional food from that country and on Friday we are having a big shared lunch were everyone will bring something from the country they picked out. I will also be sharing my instructions with you. This week for reading we have been focusing on culture and I will share my reading task in the next post.

What is your culture? Have you travel to any places, if so which was your favourite?
See you next time, Bye :)
