Maths WS2

Bula welcome back to my blog,

This week for maths we completed problem solving and then shared back to the rest of the group at our share session. Here is the problem solving/ maths questions for the week.

There are currently three big tree stumps sitting in the way of where the bike track will go.

The stump removal company have quoted $253 to get the three tree stumps removed.

They are currently running a special of 20% off stump removal for the next week. If we book in during this time…

What would the dollar amount of our discount be?

What would the total price now be to get the 3 stumps removed?

Now that we have calculated the price of removal, the company have made contact and said we can       have a further 17% off if we pay in advance, what will the cost now be, if we take up their offer?
Here is my work in my book

See you next time Bye :)

Fantastic's in reading !

Kia Ora welcome back to my blog,

This week for reading we had a slide with stories on them and we had to use the fantasists to find positive and negative words/sentences for each fantastic which targets the senses. We also had to drag the icons next to the sentences we thought that related to. Here is my slides.

What is your favourite ever book you have read?

The owls flew through the pitch black night sky.

Reading W11🏁🐍

Kia Ora welcome back to my blog,
This week for reading my goal was to:
I had to fill out a table with a passage or sentence from the text and then write what we visualised using the 5 senses. When we got to our share workshop we shared how this helped us to have a deeper understanding within the text. I hope you like it.

Do you do lots of Visualising when you are reading?
See you next time Bye :)

Maths W11🏁🐍

Bula, welcome back to my blog,
this week for maths I did three goals.
Goal 1: Relate 3D models to 2D representations, and vice versa
Goal 2: Identify and sort 2D and 3D shapes into classes. Define the properties of the shapes and justify the decisions made.
Goal 3: Represent objects with drawings and models.
We had to fill out the blue document and the other two tasks were practical so I just put in on a drawing with photos of my work.

Can you draw 3d shapes?
See you next time Bye :)
