Think to Drink and Drink to think.

Drink to think think to Drink

We where all given a good quality drink bottle that will live at school. She was telling us how important it was, that we drink because, our brain is 85% water, our Blood has 80% water and our Muscles need 70% water. We where given the drink bottles to encourage us to drink more water. We where given the instructions, When we get up in the morning we will have one glass of water, then with our breakfast we will have another. Then when we get to school we will fill up our bottles and drink that before lunchtime then at lunch, we will fill them up again and drink them before the end of the day. Then when we get home we will have another one and last but certainly not least we will have another with our dinner. I think that this is a great responsibility to learn at a young age and every one should take my advice and try it.......

Every Friday lunch time I do Code Club, I find this really fun but sometimes I find it a little bit tricky. We have a whole load of tasks to complete, we complete them by following a range of different instructions.  A couple of Fridays ago (15th of August) our school took part in trying to beat a world record on how many people we can get coding in one day.... My favourite part about code club is being able to help others and  having fun with my friends.

In Term 1 we went to camp. It took us an hour to arrive at our destination, Woodend Christian camp!
(Link 1)  We had so much fun at camp we would  definitely take the experience to go on another camp one time!

Here is some photos of us having fun!
It was my first ever time going on camp with my school, It was a great experience and I would deferentially go back!

My favourite part was all the fun activities, Orienteering, Wall Climbing, Water slide, go Carting, Archery and Air Riffles, Mini Golf, Aero jump and Flying Fox/Zip-line.

Silent writing piece

Every day after lunch we do about 10 minutes of S.U.W.  S.U.W stands for Silent Uninterrupted Writing!!!!!!

My learning focus was Step out writing, Step out writing is when you take a paragraph or a story and make up some actions to go along, when you are telling the story this also includes, body language, and voice expression.

Here is an example of my writing, it is only a draft so it may have a few mistakes!

Choose a traditional story and change it into your own:Gingerbread man-( The Cranky Juice man)One sunny day the  wrinkly old lady and man (bob and Mary), took the chance to make a cranky juice man.  As they found the cups and they bought the juice they were very excited to  make the Cranky juice man. They poured cups of orange Juice, apple juice and lemon juice, the cranky juice man started to come together,  they took their` old limbs and chucked the cranky old juice man straight into the fridge. The cranky juice man wasn’t there the next day, but was on Bob and Mary's comfy old bed. He ran and ran as he sang you can’t catch me I’m the cranky juice man I'm running and running so I can't be drank! So he ran and he ran as fast as he can till he crashed into the yellow locks of Goldilocks. Goldilocks just said uh I don't want to buy anything so if your selling or at least trying to sell something get out of here. So the Cranky juice man ran and he ran You can't catch me I'm the Cranky juice man he sang as he sprang like a kangaroo on his birthday! As he he ran into the distance he sang “You’ll never see me again I’m the cranky juice man.

My family treasure

This term for P.B.L we asked our parents to see if we have a treasure at home our in our family that is special to our family. I brung in a satchel that my granddad bought back from the war in Egypt.

My Granddad went all the way to Egypt to fight for our country in World War 2. If we didn't have brave soldiers like him we wouldn't have the freedom in our lives that we have today. My Granddad Walter Charles Wall served our country during the second world war being on active duty for four years as a driver. The weather in the deserts of Egypt were very hot and harsh on the soldiers. The hot winds in the deserts caused sandstorm which could last up to hours or even up to days at a time.
This satchel is very precious to my family as my Granddad bought it back  with him when he returned home safe and sound when the war finished. Granddad told dad that when he returned from war he would use a sauna in the cathedral square with other soldier friends to get out the sand that was caught in there skin. Dad said that they would go in the saunas which would open up the pores in their skin and let all the sand out then they would jump into an ice-bath which would close all there pores up and not let it back in. It could take up to hours or even up days to get it all out. This satchel is very old and dusty. It is quite a dark brown and it was carvings of Egyptians walking camels on the front and on the back.
