On the 29th of May the teachers went on strike.
The teachers went on strike for 2 reasons.
- Because they aren't getting paid enough
- Because they don't have enough time.
- The first one is a big one because they don't get paid enough. Private schools did not join in with this as they are not paid by the government. That is why private schools cost more money to attend. Hopefully soon the government will give a pay rise so that everything can get back to normal.
- The second thing is time. The teachers said that they spend so much time on admin and getting things ready they don't have that much time to actually teach us.
